When me and Kanye were in the studio working on a song for Big Sean, we were talking about it. We saw a comedic element to it. I felt that the climate in the world right now, everything in the world is so serious all the time, my life is serious, I just wanted to laugh, instead of taking myself too serious as the heartthrob and walking hand-in-hand into the movies and taking my shirt off. On this track... Chip remade an old Sublime song called "Pawn Shop."
Chip put his own touch on it, not changing the original format of the song... it just so happens to have these nice gaps in between chorus' and Chip flipped it real nice.
I really hope u enjoy the song! He has a verse in the beginning & another verse at about the 2min mark...
Then he just fills in with his singing throughout the rest of the track.

Drake Talks About Jay Z's "Run This Town"...
"I don't know who came up with that rumor to be honest, but I always knew what Jay's first single was going to be," the hype-building Toronto MC told the BoomBox this afternoon. "Me and Jay did a lot of work together. Maybe at one point he was considering doing it and someone got over-excited and put out a press release that I was going to be on the first single."
So what does Drake, who is working on his Young Money/Universal Republic studio debut 'Thank Me Later' following the rousing success of his mixtape 'So Far Gone,' think about the chest-beating track? "I think Jay made a great choice," he says. "I think the 'Run This Town' song is phenomenal. I think Kanye kills that s---. I actually heard that song when it was a Rihanna track."
As for now, Drake is optimistic that he will still appear on Mr. Carter's upcoming September 11 release. "I had a conversation about it a couple of days ago," Drake says of his studio work with the Jugga man. "We have more than one record to pick from. Jay-Z is one of those guys that's just too good. I would be definitely disappointed if I wasn't on it. I think it's going to be a legendary project. I have my fingers crossed."

Nas Ordered To Pay $44K A Month Support For Newborn With Kelis
A judge has ordered Nas to pay Kelis nearly $44,000 in monthly support for the near future, a day after the "Milkshake" singer gave birth to the divorcing couple's baby boy.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Louis Meisinger issued the order at a Thursday hearing. Neither Nas, whose full name is Nasir Jones, nor Kelis, whose full name is Kelis Rogers, attended Thursday's hearing.
Rogers gave birth to the boy, named Knight, at a New York hospital Wednesday. The 29-year-old filed for divorce from the rapper in April. The couple was married in July 2003.
The two have been sparring over support payments for several months, with Rogers contending that Jones hasn't paid many of the costs of her pregnancy and her expenses. His attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told the judge that the rapper has paid $30,000 in expenses and the former couple's health insurance has been maintained.
A hearing on whether the payments should be altered will be heard on Sept. 8.

After numerous delayed release dates for his debut album, Rostrum Records recording artist Wiz Khalifa has left Warner Bros. Records. The 21-year old Pittsburgh MC signed with Warner Bros. in June of 2007, and early the next year had a Billboard Top 25 hit with "Say Yeah." Prior to signing with Warner Bros., Wiz and his Rostrum Records team were part of a riveting grassroots movement that caught the attention of Rolling Stone, XXL, MTV, Fuse, and all of the major labels.
Rostrum Records President, Benjy Grinberg, says, "We feel that this 'divorce' is the best thing for both parties at this juncture and we appreciate the leniency Warner has shown with our release. We are excited to be independent again."
The rest of 2009 is set to be a busy one for Wiz. He will immediately be dropping a new single “Teach U To Fly,” a mixtape entitled “How Fly” with New Orleans MC Curren$y, and another solo mixtape to follow up his critically acclaimed “Flight School” for the Fall. Wiz is currently touring the country on his “Orientation Tour” with remaining stops in Alabama, Ohio, Atlanta, Florida, St Louis, and ending July 31st in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Wiz is also set to headline a cross-country tour in the Fall.
Wiz adds, "I'd like to thank Warner Bros. for understanding our reasons for wanting to leave. I learned a lot during my time there and matured as an artist during the process. I'm happy to be moving on with all of my material and having the chance to be in control of my next moves."
